Cebu Typhoid Outbreak caused by Water Coliform Contamination

There were fecal coliforms found in the water samples submitted for water testing according to the Regional Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (RESU) in Region 7. This is the probable cause of the Cebu typhoid fever outbreak — there was water coliform contamination.

As of now, there are already more or less 90 patients admitted in Tuburan District Hospital, Cebu.

    Scary. I hope that there are no more patients to be admitted because of that sickness. And I hope that the government and the people work hard at keeping this epidemic contained.
