When talking about drugs and drug rehab programs, Hollywood personalities ain’t back of the issues. Just recently, Whitney Houston, an all-time most awarded female artist according to Guinness World Record, a singer, actress and a former model, is undergoing again an outpatient drug rehab program.
Houston was first sent to a drug rehab program way back 2004 after her cocaine addiction. But this time it’s for drug and alcohol rehab program. Her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, denies any drug problems like her mom’s.
I partied a lot. Trust me: I partied my tail off,” Houston told Diane Sawyer after she went to rehab. “You get to a point where you know the party’s over. Excerpted from sheknows.com
According to Houston’s representative, she volunteered herself to undergo the said drug and alcohol rehab program for her to have a complete and full recovery from drug and alcohol addiction.
In some way or another, drug rehab programs, like the www.texasdrugrehab.org, really work. However, things still depend on the patient on how he or she manages and follows rules and guidelines or the program itself. There are a number of patients who still get back to drug and alcohol addiction after a year or two of completing a drug rehab program. And as mentioned above, Houston is one such example. Indeed a lot has been asking and wondering if Houston would successfully go through this rehab program this time since this is her second rehab program already.
So to not to have any health problems to face in the future, drug and alcohol use and abuse should properly be guided if not avoided. One thing is always sure, prevention is yet always better than cure.
