Technology Addiction Similar to Drug Cravings

The advancement of technology, now a days, is obviously unstoppable. Upgrades from another upgrades, new models, new features and even a new device is almost virally elaborated day after day. And the young age group is the very most attracted to such robotics of applied sciences.
There’s nothing wrong of being techie. In fact, it’s almost a must to learn the basics of the most recent renovations of technology in applying for a certain jobs. However, people having the simplest know-how on technology has predisposed them to getting addicted to techie devices like computers, mobile phones and the like. It seems that the limit has reached where else, everything has a limit. As well said, too much of something is bad enough.

Indeed, bad enough as based on a recent study which found that students or the young people if deprived of techie gadgets has effects that is similar to drug addiction.

Withdrawal symptoms experienced by young people deprived of gadgets and technology is compared to those felt by drug addicts or smokers going “cold turkey”, a study has concluded.

The study was conducted in big universities of 10 countries which includes America, Great Britain and China.

One unnamed American college student told of their overwhelming cravings, which they confessed was similar to “itching like a crackhead (crack cocaine addict)”.

As far as I’m concern regarding the treatment, drug rehabilitation programs are just everywhere. For instance, in Southern America, there’s available Florida treatment centers, a drug rehab in Florida which has favorable programs to drugs and alcohol addiction. But with technology, by far, I’ve known nothing which offers rehabilitation programs for technology addiction.

Beware and get yourself a control! You might be one of the above considered “young people” addicted to technology.

I've already heard of a certain online addict rehab in 2008 . Though they call it as like a "bootcamp" where the addicts are on rehab thru a bootcamp. It's done in Korea where a majority of the population are hooked online and spend most of their time online.
